These rules and regulations are the result of an interagency agreement. They are issued by the NYC Department of Transpiration (DOT). They only apply during the event, namely, on Saturday June 26 and Sunday June 27, from 1 to 7pm.

RETAIL MERCHANTS
Retail Merchants ON the Event Blocks
- Retail Merchants on Bedford Avenue between N4th and N9th Street are allowed:
A. to make full use of the sidewalk in front of their store to display goods and expand to the curbline
B to conduct cash transaction on the sidewalk
Retail Merchants around Beford Avenue
- You can use the space within 3 feet of the lot line to display goods.
- You CANNOT conduct cash transaction on the sidewalk
CAFES, RESTAURANTS, AND BARS
Outside Terrace for Cafés, Restaurants and Bars ON the Event Blocks
- Cafés, restaurants and bars located on Bedford Avenue between N4th and N9th Street are allowed and encouraged to set up an “outside terrace”. As event attendees are expected to walk on the street, you can expand to the curbline by placing chairs and tables. No chairs and tables are allowed in the street, this is just for the sidewalk.
- Waiters can take orders, serve food and conduct cash transactions directly on the sidewalk.
- NO ALCOHOL is to be served at all time on the sidewalk.
- Tables and chairs must be off of the sidewalk by 7pm on both evenings.
- It does not matter if you already have a sidewalk cafe license from the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) or not, any restaurant, café or bar can do this.
Cafés, Restaurants and Bars OFF Events Blocks
- Nothing is different compared to a regular day
